The Insurance Insider Honours 2026 ceremony has taken place, with winners revealed across 21 categories spanning broking, underwriting, technology, talent and emerging professionals.
Carbon had a standout evening, winning AI Implementation of the Year for its Agentic Claims Classification Project, with Ben Laidlaw of Carbon also taking home the Trailblazer Award. McGill and Partners won Broker of the Year, with Howden Highly Commended in the same category. Aon's Cyber Reinsurance Team won Broking Innovation of the Year for its Surge Stop Loss Solution.
In the carrier space, SiriusPoint was named Carrier of the Year, with Tokio Marine Kiln Highly Commended. Tokio Marine GX went on to win Underwriting Innovation of the Year. Markel International won Employer of the Year, and was also Highly Commended in the AI Implementation category. Munich Re had a strong night, winning both the Claims Service Award for its Large and Complex Loss team and Collaboration of the Year for The Pandemic Consortium.
Apollo and Artificial Labs won the Smart-Follow Initiative of the Year, and Skyward Specialty took M&A Transaction of the Year for its acquisition of Apollo. MS Amlin won the Talent Excellence Award for its programme tackling the London Market talent gap.
In the individual awards, Brian Bissett of Convex won CFO of the Year, Richard Brindle of The Fidelis Partnership took Outstanding Contributor of the Year in the Risk category, and James Drinkwater of Amwins won the Distribution equivalent. Dominick Hoare of Munich Re Specialty received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Among the emerging talent categories, Jonathan Franke of New Dawn Risk won Young Broker of the Year, Kate Jones of Liberty Specialty Markets won Young Claims Professional of the Year, and Isabella Donegan of Canopius Group won Young Underwriter of the Year.
