hyperexponential provides AI-native underwriting and pricing software for commercial P&C insurers. Its technology already supports underwriting decisions across more than $75 billion in annual commercial P&C premium for global insurers, reinsurers and MGAs.
The proposed combination is intended to develop an approach in which AI agents work alongside underwriters and actuaries to assess and price risks and support decision-making. According to Guidewire, this could allow insurers to respond to more submissions more quickly while enabling underwriting teams to concentrate on risks where their expertise is most valuable.
hyperexponential has a particularly strong presence among commercial and specialty insurers in the UK, with customers including Aviva, Allianz, Beazley, Markel and Convex.
The deal reflects the growing role of AI in insurance technology, moving beyond process automation towards supporting some of the industry's most complex risk, pricing and underwriting decisions.
The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of Guidewire’s 2027 fiscal year
